The first toys were developed by Bonnie Zacherle, Charles Muenchinger, and Steve D'Aguanno, and were produced in 1981. The ponies feature colorful bodies, manes and a unique symbol on one or both sides of their flanks. Such symbols are referred to in the two most recent incarnations as "cutie marks".

A design I made to highlight all the pony elements and main characters of the show. There's a lot of detail you won't be able to see at small sizes, but see if you can catch the hidden cutie marks in each background behind the ponies. Also notice that they're all facing outward from the center to frame Twilight symbolizing how she's been the center of the show from the beginning.

A design made to look nice, but is very clear to anyone who's a fan. Wearing this shirt lets you express yourself as a fan, but without drawing unwanted attention at the same time. This one is indicative of the strong themes of balance and harmony in the show that were presented from the first minutes of the series. In particular this design shows the light and dark, not as good and evil, but of light and darkness as needing and supporting each other.

Inspired by the characters from My Little Pony; Friendship is Magic, owned by Hasbro. Applejack, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, & Spike the Dragon are all characters owned by Hasbro.
