In a recent blog entry, TeePublic CEO Adam Schwartz wrote "A Call to Artists," a meditation on the importance of art during hard times. In that entry, he wrote, "Consider this my call to arms. In times of human struggle, the world needs art."
With how quickly the world is changing, that sentiment is truer today than it was yesterday.
As artists, it is your job to continue creating. You help us all feel a little more connected and a little less alone. As your trusted print-on-demand site, it's our job to keep your products reaching your customers, despite an ever-changing landscape.
About TeePublic's supply chain during COVID-19:
At the time of this writing, TeePublic's supply chain is, and continues to be, strong. Here are the reasons why the supply chain remains strong:
- Orders printed and shipped close to the recipient: The items from your order are printed and shipped from a third party printer as close to your shipping address as possible.
- Shifting Production Facilities: In case one printer cannot fulfill certain orders, production can be shifted to another facility.
- Creating Essential Goods: Some fulfillment centers have repurposed some of their output for "essential goods," like masks. This means that that factory has a lower chance of being suddenly paused.
- Developing Backup Options: For high-demand products, our production team is looking into potentially bringing backup printers online if needed.
Through all of this, our quality and production guidelines remain unchanged. And office employees at these production centers are welcome to work from home if their work allows it.
As an artist, you can continue to rely on TeePublic to do the best it can to provide your customers with products you trust. We'll continue to do this as long as we can.
In another blog entry, Redbubble CEO Martin Hosking noted, "We can be sure a new [world] will emerge. And it can be better if we choose to make it so. A world that acts more as a global community, where we recognise our shared humanity, and where strong local institutions are valued."
