Simon Templar, a freelance adventurer, started out robbing from robbers, and later turned to just involving himself in things that he thought might be fun, dangerous, and perhaps even do some good. He came to be called The Saint because of a small stick figure with a halo over his head, he would leave after having struck. He later gave up his thieving ways and just started looking for adventure.

The mouse known as Supermouse, or Soupie to his friends, got his powers by eating super cheese (which was made from the milk of a super cow) that gave him super speed and strength. He has a wife named Annabel and a nephew named Roscoe. His arch-enemy is a cat named Terrible Tom. He sometimes flies a sentient one-seat aircraft called Cheesie. Supermouse was the first ongoing funny animal superhero, debuting ahead of Mighty Mouse (October 1942) (who was himself known as Super Mouse before 1944).

Nobody suspected that Lady Luck was actually Brenda Banks, a "debutante crime buster bored with social life" who decided to become a "modern lady Robin Hood." Her costume was not that of a traditional comic book vigilante; It was an emerald green gown, a green hat, and a green silk veil that hung over her face to disguise her identity. She solved blackmail cases, spy cases, kidnappings, and any other cases that came her way. As Brenda Banks, she was in love with Police Chief Hardy Moore; ironically, Moore's job was to bring in Lady Luck. Brenda's brawny Italian chauffeur Peecolo served as Lady Luck's assistant.

Not to be confused with the Marvel character, this Daredevil is an American comic book superhero that starred in popular comics during the 1930s-1940s. He was introduced as Bart Hill, who as a child had been rendered mute by the shock of seeing his father killed and himself being branded with a hot iron. Orphaned, he grew up to become a marksman with the boomerang, an homage to the boomerang-shaped scar left on his chest. He wore a pale yellow and dark blue costume. In the following issue, only Hill's identity, spiked belt, and the boomerang remained, the mute angle was dropped without explanation, and his original costume of pale yellow and dark blue was redesigned to a dark red and blue.
