Spectrum Arena Philadelphia 1967 Magnet
Philadelphia Magnet
designed and sold by JCD666
Opened as the Spectrum in September 1967, Philadelphia's first modern indoor sports arena was built to be the home of the city's expansion hockey team, and also accommodated the existing pro basketball team The building was the second major sports facility built at the south end of Broad Street in an area previously known as East League Island Park, and now referred to simply as the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. Aside from sporting events, decades of concerts were staged at the Spectrum, which was highly praised for its acoustic properties, something that many say can be heard in live recordings made at the venue.
