This was the first version of my Doctor Weave. I got the idea of the second version just as I was finishing this one.

The 1st Medical Brigade is a medical brigade of the United States Army. It is located at Fort Hood, Texas, providing health care and medical services to the Fort Hood community, and continuing training in its combat support mission.

“We all change when you think about it. We're all different all through our lives. And that's okay, that's good. You've got to keeping moving. As long as you remember all the people that you used to be. I will not forget one line of this, not one day. I swear. I will always remember when the Doctor was me.” I came up with this idea shortly before the premiere of the Series 8 and the new Doctor, Peter Capaldi. I wanted to honor all the regenerations in one painting. It's one of my largest - 48" x 24". The concept of a regenerating lead character is what makes Doctor Who so special. This is a series of portraits on the Doctor from the long running BBC show, Doctor Who. This is William Hartnell - the Doctor from 1963 to 1966. He was the first. He was the Doctor back when television was still largely black and white, which is why I left the background black and white. Without him, we wouldn't have all the other Doctors.

I have been a fan of Doctor who since the 70s. Over the past few years i have done a series of Paintings from Space and time to pop art splat. This is part of the Pop Art series which is based on the swirl of the time vortex. The original painting that these images come from are much bigger and in a Wide screen style. To use these for T shirts etc I have cropped the design and modified them from my original paintings.
