Protection…Strength...Courage...Success Michael is the Angel of Courage, Strength and Protection and he will stand by your side with his mighty sword and shield, ready to protect you. Michael means "Who is like God". In the New Testament, Michael leads God's armies against Satan's forces in the Book of Revelation, where during the war in heaven, he defeats Satan. Michael is considered a "Prince of the first rank of Angels".

St Michael the Archangel becomes it in the Old Testament and has been part of the Christian tradition since the early days. In Catholic scriptures and traditions, he acts as the protector of the church and opponent of Satan. In John's New Testament revelation, Michael appears in an eschatological context as the conqueror of Satan, whom he falls down to earth. Dominum Deum tuum adorabis, et illi soli servies (You shall worship the Lord your God and serve him alone!). This Bible quote from the Gospels speaks Michael to Satan on the first scroll. Non serviam 'I will not serve' is a phrase that is attributed to satan in church history, which is why it is under the dragon.

They appear in Christian, Islamic, and Hebrew texts at the top of the angelic hierarchy. Their names vary from one faith to another, but the most well known are Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel. Others include Jibrael, Mikael, Israfil, Azrael, Abaddon, and Uriel. In popular culture and art, these beings tend to be depicted as humans with wings, wearing armor and carrying a flaming sword.
