1959-1996

Fisher Body was an automobile coachbuilder founded by the Fisher brothers in 1908 in Detroit, Michigan, later becoming a division of GM. The name and its iconic "Body by Fisher" logo were well known to the public, as GM vehicles displayed a "Body by Fisher" emblem on their door sill plates until the mid-1990s, more than a decade after the coach-building division was dissolved and its functional areas absorbed by other divisions. This design is based on the original 1930s era logo that would go on to be used for decades to come, albeit with some stylistic changes along the way.

Muskegon Gas & Oil Company, aka Musgo, was a Michigan-based petroleum company that started up sometime in the mid-1920s. Collectors believe they were planning on a pretty big footprint in the market given the number of NOS artifacts that still exist today, but nonetheless, Musgo was doomed and dropped off the face of the earth just a few years into their plans for world domination.

Larry and Mike Alexander, known as the “A Brothers,” reshaped the world of custom cars. From their humble shop in Detroit, they weaved a fresh fabric into the tapestry of American culture and elevated custom car design to new levels, all from the heart of the rust belt. Regarded as both fabricating geniuses and expert mechanics, the A Bros were arguably the most technically capable builders during the golden era of custom cars in the late 1950s and ‘60s. In fact, their technical acumen is how they broke into the big time and ended up restyling vehicles for the big three in Detroit.

DeSoto (sometimes De Soto) was an American automobile marque that was manufactured and marketed by the DeSoto division of Chrysler from 1928 to the 1961 model year. More than two million passenger cars and trucks bore the DeSoto brand in North American markets during its existence. The DeSoto make was founded by Walter Chrysler on August 4, 1928, to compete with Oldsmobile, Studebaker, Hudson and Willys in the mid-price class. Introduced for the 1929 model year, DeSoto served as a lower-priced version of Chrysler products, with Dodge and Plymouth also added to the lower end of Chrysler family in 1928.
