There are very few native plants in flower in Autumn and Winter in Australia. Correa Reflexa is one of the few which do. I was lucky to find this less common red variety at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve in Victoria, Australia.

These Glossodia Major orchids had twisted their stems around each other and were inseparable. Since their common name is Parson In The Pulpit I thought Pair Of Parsons was appropriate. Taken at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve, Victoria, Australia.

At last - the Sun Orchids have appeared! A couple of warm, sunny days have worked their magic! This one is the Spotted Sun Orchid - Thelymitra Ixiodes - found at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve, Victoria, Australia.

These pretty little violets are in flower everywhere right now. I've been trying to get a good shot for a while, but the flowers are tiny and never grow more than about 5cms above the ground. Love Creeper - Comesperma Volubile - is pretty common, but hard to photograph. The flowers are tiny and tend to blow around in the wind. Early Nancy - Wurumbea Dioica - has a much easier to remember common name. These dainty little flowers come out in Spring and prove that beautiful things come in small packages - the flowers are around 8 - 10mm across. This one was on show at Hochkins Ridge Flora Reserve, Victoria, Australia.
