Just a bit of nonsense. The kids and I are having tons of fun with our 8 puppies, we need to enjoy them while we still have them. The poor puppies were NOT allowed any cake during this shoot, (who wants a sick puppy, anyway?) but were consoled with cuddles and other treats ( :

Belle was most distressed in the week after she gave birth as she couldn't understand where the rest of her puppies were. I think she felt completely confused to only have one after having eight! In the end, though, she settled for adopting a red rubber duck that she heard one of the kids squeaking one day. She cared for it beautifully, cleaning it and loving it alongside Dinah, guarding it fiercely and refusing to let us take it away from her. Gotta love dogs. : )
