The Nakatomi Corporation was in the habit of giving its employees t-shirts commemorating their annual Christmas parties. They probably should have stopped, especially since nobody wants to remember the 1988 one, but old habits die hard.

This design was inspired by the 1988 blockbuster action hit, Die Hard. Led by the brilliant thief, Hans Gruber a former member of the Volksfrei movement, this group of German extremists crashed the Christmas party of the Nakatomi Corporation at their headquarters, Nakatomi Plaza, the tallest building in downtown Los Angeles, California.

Nakatomi Plaza is an office tower located in Century City, California, where the California branch of the Japanese company Nakatomi Corporation is located. The building he represented is constructed by Fox Plaza Building, headquarters of 20th Century Fox.
