This is a hand drawn maze that is colored in with prismacolor colored pencils. The maze begins on the top and ends on the bottom. The arrows throughout the maze act as one way passages and can only be passed through in the direction that the arrow is pointing.

This delicate pencil drawing by August Macke depicts a woman with a lyre and a dog. She could be an angel, and all dogs go to heaven.

When I set the camera up to take this shot, I had not considered rendering it this way. My thought was to only get a shot of a bird approaching the aloe flowers. I placed a white backdrop behind the plant to isolate the bird and aloe. It was months later that it occurred to me to render the image as a pencil sketch. I really like the way this image turned out, particularly the detail that was captured, right down to the reflection in the bird's eye and its eyelashes. Even the out-of-focus aloe stalk in the background looks good.
