The Chinese name for taxi used in Hong Kong, dik si (的士), is a Cantonese transliteration of the English word "taxi". On 13 September 1974, the government gazetted standard colors – silver for the upper half and red for the lower half – for all taxicabs in Hong Kong to weed out illegal taxis. The Toyota Comfort, released on December 19, 1995. The car is popular as a taxi in Hong Kong. The five-seat version can either have column or floor gear change. The Hong Kong model has fender mirrors and an automatic (driver-activated) rear door. The Comfort also is used as an instructional vehicle for people learning how to drive.

It's been called many things. It's been called a people mover; it's been called a moving stairs; moving steps; people conveyor; or simply an escalator; etc. I call it "The Travelator". LOL. Because if you're not careful when using it, it will "travelate" you. Or is that "terminate" you? Image taken at an airport somewhere on this planet. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
