The shopping center at LV Blvd & Sahara was built in ‘59. There was a grocery store in the center. The 2440 Las Vegas Blvd address was located right across from the location of the Sahara where the now Bonanza Gift Shop stands. The circular board was built around '71 originally for Big Wheel Casino. Then later Centerfolds opened in 1975 and lasted about a year before becoming Jolly Trolley Casino. To get people interested in going there, Jolly Trolley would pass out a coupon book that was an $18 value. It included everything from a free breakfast to a free lunch to free drinks and a free phone call. These book coupons would be redeemed at the casino redemption booth. Sahara Las Vegas is a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Winchester, Nevada. The resort initially operated under the Sahara name from 1952 to 2011. Originally, Milton Prell opened the Club Bingo casino on the site in 1947. In 1951, he gathered former business partners to begin work on the Sahara, which was built on the land partially occupied by Club Bingo. Del E. Webb Construction Company built the Sahara, which opened on October 7, 1952, as the sixth resort on the Las Vegas Strip. It featured an African theme.

Jackie Gaughan and Mel Exber purchased the Las Vegas Club in 1962, and added a sports theme.

The Aladdin was a hotel and casino located on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. Toy manufacturer Edwin S. Lowe originally opened the 450-room Tallyho Hotel on the property in 1962. Milton Prell purchased the hotel and began an extensive $3 million renovation of the property before reopening it as the Aladdin on April 1, 1966. A 19-story hotel tower was added in 1976. After various ownership changes, the Aladdin was closed in 1997 and demolished the following year to make room for a new Aladdin resort that opened in 2000.

The Fremont Hotel is located on 200 Fremont Street. It was designed by architect Wayne McAllister and opened on May 18, 1956, as the tallest building in the state of Nevada. The casino is located on what is commonly referred to as the four corners. These are the four main hotels that are located on the corner of Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street. The four casinos making up the four corners are The Fremont, the Four Queens, the Golden Nugget, and Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel.

The Ambassador “Apartments” were built in 1930 by Sam Mikulich. It was known as Ambassador Auto Court by the late 30s, and Motel by the mid 40s. Jackie Gaughan bought the complex and added a casino and changed the name again to Ambassador East. It closed sometime around the turn of the century, was demolished in 2007, but the sign remained and was restored in 2013. llamas stay for free

Cerveza Chango is a beer featured in Robert Rodriguez films such as Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn and Sin City. The beer is named after Chango, the Santeria Orisha of thunder, lightning, and gunpowder. You know it's a shady place if they serve Chango. Chango is a poor-quality beer. It's not improved by the facts that the staff at the Tarasco Bar not only serves it flat and warm, but also pees in each keg.

The Riviera opened on April 20, 1955, as the first high-rise at 9 stories, and the ninth resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The Riviera Hotel was one of the oldest and well-known casino resort in Las Vegas Strip. It stopped operating in May 2015 after being bought by The Las Vegas Convention and visitors Authority which scheduled to implode the property as part of the billion-dollar project of expanding the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The owner originally wanted to call it the Silver Slipper, but there already was an existing establishment with that name. The problem was solved when that small operation was purchased and closed, and the Golden Slipper became the Silver Slipper. The casino was known for its rotating slipper that sat atop the casino.On April 30, 1968, the Silver Slipper was purchased by businessman Howard Hughes in his famous spending spree of buying Vegas properties, which included the Frontier next door.

The Red Barn opened in 1958 as an antique store near Tropicana Avenue and Maryland Parkway. In 1961 the store was converted into a club that was the first coffeehouse in Las Vegas and a popular hangout among local college students. The Red Barn hosted straight patrons during the day, but after midnight it catered to the gay community. By 1972 it was exclusively a gay club, one of only a few in Las Vegas. The Red Barn closed in March 1988, and the abandoned building burned down later that year. The only remaining piece of there renowned property The Red Barn Marker is its neon martini class signage, which is now part of the Neon Museum's collection

The Thunderbird opened on September 2, 1948, with 79 hotel rooms, a casino, and a bar. The cost of construction exceeded $2 million.The Thunderbird was the fourth resort to open on the Las Vegas Strip, and was located diagonally across the street from the El Rancho Vegas. It was named after the mythical Thunderbird creature, and the entrance featured two large, neon Thunderbird statues. The Thunderbird was considered a luxurious resort, and a Southwestern/Navajo theme was featured throughout the property, including portraits of American Indians.
