Whether or not you listen to the Dyking Out podcast, you can and totally should invite others to dyke out with you at pride, and beyond! What does it mean to dyke out? It can mean whatever you want – like eating hummus and washing it down with the tears of men, or line dancing to some Dolly Parton. This shirt is perfect for pride (because it's rainbow-colored), first dates (because it cuts to the chase), and funerals (because it's black).
Inspired by a real-life historical protest slogan unfurled by LGBTQ+ activists after the Supreme Court ruled in Bowers v. Hardwick in 1986! Protestors revealed a giant banner with a hand-written slogan to protest state laws that infringed on the rights of queer people. Though the 1986 ruling upheld those laws, the court would later rule in Lawrence v. Texas (2003) that the Bowers decision was wrong when it was written and wrong today.
Inspired by a famous protest sign that appeared at numerous LGBTQ+ liberation events in San Francisco. "Thank God I'm Gay" is a piece of queer history: It was printed in big block letters and often held next to religious protestors at Pride, at rallies for nondiscrimination bills, and at the front door of City Hall. Wording has been updated to be inclusive of more genders and orientations, but the spirit is the same: It's a blessing.

I'm Mike, a queer artist in Portland, Oregon. The artwork on this shirt was designed by Jen Van Horn, the quote comes from author Lauren Morrill, and the art is based on my popular balloon art. By buying it, you'll be supporting queer artists make more art. Also if I see you wearing it in public I will come up to you and embarrass myself (I promise I will not do this).
