Skunk T-Shirt
designed and sold by JCD666
Dick Simon sold his car to buy a two-ton rig in 1955 and began hauling feed from his home in Provo, Utah to southern California ranchers and then hauling fish meal back to Provo. In 1972, Simon ended his sole proprietorship after nearly two decades on the road and incorporated Dick Simon Trucking. That began the expansion of the fleet that continued steadily into the '90s, all while a skunk waving a 'Sweet Simon' flag as a nod to the national perfume account that gave their refers trailers an unusually pleasant scent. By the late '90s, Simon had over 1,800 employees and 2,500 pieces of equipment, though the new decade saw various issues arise that lead to the company folding in 2002.
