Northern Oregon coast

Coos Bay, Oregon is notable for the large volume of lumber that is shipped throughout the world. It’s also prospered in shipbuilding through its history and has largely been the prime trade center for Oregon’s southwest coastal region. This design is inspired by the KOOS 2 tugboat, a feature on the boardwalk.

The Portland Beavers was the name of separate minor league baseball teams, which represented Portland, Oregon, in the Pacific Coast League (PCL). The team was established in 1903, the first year of the PCL, until the last iteration ended playing in 2010. Players who got their start with the Beavers include Stan Coveleski, Jim Thorpe, Mickey Cochrane, Ted Williams. An 56 year old Satchel Paige even pitched for them in 1961.

This is a labyrinth in the shape of the State of Oregon that is colored in a forested landscape theme. Starting on the upper left along the Pacific Ocean, find your way through Portland, Eugene, Mt Hood National Forest, Crater Lake and the rest of the West Coast State of Oregon, ending in the bottom right.

High Above the Surf is an art print I created using a sketching and watercolor technique. This technique uses sketched strokes to define the subject and then filled in with a watercolor look. This particular print depicts a house on a bluff above the Pacific Ocean. Battle Rock. Located on Oregon's Southern Coast. Port Orford, OR Battle Rock Park.

In the Siletz language, Yachats means “dark water at the foot of the mountain,” and the Oregon Coast Range, surging ocean waters, and tide pools sunk in the black basalt of the shoreline make the name altogether appropriate. Located in a very unique spot, Yachats (pronounced YAH-hots) is widely regarded as the 'Gem of the Oregon Coast'. Instead of sandy beaches, much of the coastline near Yachats is composed of rugged black basalt that produces surging sea landmarks like Devil’s Churn, Spouting Horn, and Thor’s Well. Phenomenal views can be seen from Cape Perpetua, the highest viewpoint on the Oregon Coast, located just a few miles south of town. At the 2010 census, the population was 690, and was named one of the "Ten Coolest Small Towns."
