Gower Peninsula, Port-Eynon to Oxwich Point Number of views as of 22nd June 2017 = 250. Looking eastwards along the shore of Port-Eynon Bay towards Oxwich Point, on the Gower Peninsula, South Wales. Watched a kestrel hover and dive above the rocky outcrops (top centre), west of Oxwich Point. This landscape captures perfectly the remote and rugged beauty typical of this stretch of the South Wales coastline. Date: 28th July 2015.

Gower Peninsula, Rhossili Beach & Worm's Head Number of views as of 25th April 2019 = 480. Number of sales as of 25th April 2019 = 10. Worm's Head is a small, tidal island at the southern end of Rhossili Bay, forming the western-most tip of the Gower Peninsula, South Wales. The island can be accessed a couple of hours either side of low tide via a rocky causeway. It's name comes from the Viking word 'Wurm', meaning serpent. Date: 30th July 2015.

The Gower Peninsular is one of my favourite places in UK and, as soon as we check in to our hotel, our first stoip is this beautiful bay just down the road from the wonderful town of Mumbles. I hope lockdown will end soon so we can visit again. I have painted Limeslade Bay many times and this is the largest version so far. The original is available from bobpetcher.com

The bay itself is made up of three beaches: Pobbles (nearest), Three Cliffs and Tor Bay. At high tide each one is separated but at low tide all are accessible from the beach. This image was captured on an afternoon in late July.

Rhossili Bay, on the western end of the Gower Peninsula (South Wales) lies within an area designated as the first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the United Kingdom. Its superb sandy beach (known locally as Llangenith Sands) stretches 3 miles from the village of Rhossili to Burry Holms (top left), a small island which can only be accessed at low tide. Ascending Rhossili Down (top right), with its Iron Age remains and wartime fortifications, you reach The Beacon, at 193 metres, the highest point on the Gower Peninsula. The beautiful sweep of sand and sea at Rhossili Bay on the coast of the Gower Peninsula, South Wales. This is the view from the cliff top leading to Worms Head which forms one side of the bay. Unsurprisingly this stretch of sand has been voted Britain's Best Beach for two years running - and the third best in Europe! Three Cliffs Bay, otherwise Three Cliff Bay, is a bay on the south coast of the Gower Peninsula in the City and County of Swansea, Wales.
