My muse has been quiet of late. I needed inspiration and found it in the aesthetics of Mondrian. I recalled the joy of producing such works as a child, without knowledge of rules nor form. Using Mondrian's rules, I created this work in Corel. Paintbrush marks have been deliberately left raw in this piece, so add an organic element to the work.

A basket of cute, graphic stars. Collected just for you. Bold, clean stars in bright shades of cyan, magenta and lemon. When trying to name this work, the song Vincent popped into my head. Far too elevated a name for this cutie, I decided upon Vinnie Star instead. Created in Krita, with a clear background which can be changed upon request.

A riot of neon colours burst through the midnight Plant, turning night into day. Your eyes adjust to your new world of bright colour, which blazes its arrival in your retinas and heart. This marbled creation is inspired by 80s aesthetics, neon colour schemes and was created in Corel.

Photograph of some skeleton miniatures that I own, shot on a destroyed city set. Holding my breath and a lot of patience was required to set this shot up. This has been edited in RAW and Photoshop.

A murder of crows created this marble pattern, whilst drinking absinthe, reading Edgar Allen Poe and listening to The Cure – honest! A goth inspired, free-hand marble pattern created in Corel Painter. The colour scheme for this piece is mostly red, black, grey and white with hidden touches of violet and sea foam green.

A moment of perfectly suspended silence and beauty. Each window shows details of the life lived behind it, without a glimpse of any resident. Struck by inspiration one evening, I grabbed my sketchbook and pencil. I rarely am inspired to sketch without reference, but I found these shapes came easily. I wanted to emulate a handpainted, with ink outline feel to this work. Natural, imperfect textures were important in this painting. This scene is entirely imagined. During the long creation process, I was told that my scene resembled old Germanic architecture. The name of this piece was gifted to me by a lovely person on Twitter.
