The main plant in this greenhouse is the Croton plant which symbolizes change because of its colorful foliage. Other plants in the greenhouse show a multitude of colors, leaf patterns and textures, from the waxy surfaces of some leaves to the feathery fronds of others.
I saw these lovely white poppies in front of a neighbor's house while taking a walk. What makes them especially striking is the play of shadow and light and the way they are set off by the small red flowers.

The skipper has a dull coloring like a moth. They fly during the day like butterflies as you can see by this skipper which has landed on a daisy in the middle of the afternoon.

Instead of the usual hydrangea with its blossoms clustered in a round ball, the lace cap hydrangea has an outer ring of large open florets circling a core of tiny "closed" flowers. The Let's Dance Starlight Hydrangea is 2 to 3 ft. high and can be grown in a container.
I saw this beautiful Paphiopedilum orchid, Hellas Westonbirt, at a local orchid show. Paphiopedilums are often called "slipper orchids" because of their unique pouch.
