Vegetation is reduced to small stunted plants, with stony desert and some small dunes. The mountains and hills are dark and metallic looking. Mongolia. A track leads to the tank ruts on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire, training ground of the British military. Another of my 'Mean and Moody' series of landscapes. From an Infra red photo taken in 1981, long has it lain in my mysterious vaults...finally completed 2 weeks ago. Taken on a Pentax Me Super, 24mm lens, Kodak Infra-Red film, Hoya IR filter, processed in a tank covered in Aluminium foil, as it was heat sensitive! 15 second exposure.

London sometime in November 2016. Not much of a story behind this, I just looked up and thought it looked so dark but beautiful I just had to take a picture.
