A portrait of a cat altered by science to protect humanity

In the 1960s, the CIA wanted to spy on the Kremlin and Soviet embassies in Washington D.C. This is when a veterinarian surgeon was hired to perform an hour operation on a cat to implant a listening device within the cat's body, such as placing microphones into the animal's ear canal or an antenna in its tail. The CIA tried to train a cat to sit innocently on a windowsill and record what said within the embassy however the CIA soon learnt that training a cat to follow commands like a dog wasn't possible.
