The Falstaff Brewing Corporation was a major American brewery located in St. Louis, Missouri. With roots in the 1838 Lemp Brewery of St. Louis, the company was renamed after the Shakespearean character Sir John Falstaff in 1903. Production peaked in 1965 with 7,010,218 barrels brewed, and then dropped 70% in the next 10 years. While its smaller labels linger on today, its main label Falstaff Beer went out of production in 2005. The rights to the brand are currently owned by Pabst Brewing Company.

Danny Noonan works as a caddie at the upscale Bushwood Country Club in Illinois to earn enough money to go to college. Danny often caddies for Ty Webb, a suave and talented golfer and the son of one of Bushwood's co-founders. Danny decides to gain favor with Judge Elihu Smails, the country club's stodgy co-founder and director of the caddie scholarship program, by caddying for him. Meanwhile, Carl Spackler, a somewhat-unhinged greens-keeper, is entrusted with combating a potentially disastrous gopher infestation. He employs a variety of methods to kill the gopher (e.g. shooting, drowning) without success.

This elaborate Day of the Dead sugar skull design by artist Jeff Bartels is decorated with intricate swirls and dot patterns. The complex lines and circles are highlighted to create a subtle shine on the surface. The eyes of the skull are represented by large stylized flowers with pedals that stretch out from a central circle. This stylish design is a striking representation of this symbol from the Day of the Dead.
