When working on my version of Clytemnestra after reading her chapter in Pandora's Jar, I decided purple needed to feature heavily in her regalia as a nod to the whole saga with the tapestries. I also found myself reflecting on how she is (in my opinion) the most relatable of the protagonists in Jennifer Saint's novel "Elektra" and that, while her actions are extreme, I don't know how I would respond if Agamemnon were my husband (eww). This rendition of Clytemnestra is based on a red-figured Krater called "Death of Agamemnon" in the Hermitage Museum.
