Bill Johnson's Red Apple Restaurant Crewneck Sweatshirt
Cowboy Crewneck Sweatshirt
designed and sold by JCD666
Bill Johnson, a cowboy/radio personality/stuntman/actor, opened his Phoenix restaurant in 1956 and used to broadcast his radio show from inside the dining room. He would bring in celebrity guests and spend the evening chatting away with them while broadcasting from the middle of his restaurant. The western theme was campy, but not overly so and the menu was always cowboy centric, so whether you had been riding fences all day or just riding in a golf cart, Bill's place was the the spot to go for big eats. His iconic steer headed signs adorned all six locations that would eventually open, becoming landmarks in the valley of the sun.
