Canon Rebel T3i. Riverbanks Zoo has four Galapagos tortoises (two males and two females) from Santa Cruz Island and five hatchlings. Their actual ages are unknown, but they are thought to be over 100 years old. Galapagos tortoises can live as long as 200 years and are the largest of the species—weighing up to 900 pounds. The marine iguana (Amblyrhynchus cristatus), also known as the sea iguana, saltwater iguana, or Galápagos marine iguana, is a species of iguana found only on the Galápagos Islands (Ecuador) that has the ability, unique among modern lizards, to forage in the sea, making it a marine reptile.2 This iguana feeds almost exclusively on algae and large males dive to find this food source, while females and smaller males feed during low tide in the intertidal zone.3 They mainly live in colonies on rocky shores where they warm after visiting the relatively cold water or intertidal zone, but can also be seen in marshes, mangrove and beaches. Highly colored individual of the venustissimus subspecies endemic to Española and Floreana Islands.

Giant tortoises (Chelonoidis nigra) are characteristic reptiles that are currently found on two groups of tropical islands: the Aldabra Atoll and Fregate Island in Seychelles and the Galapagos Islands in Ecuador

This bubbling young pirate is the chick of a frigate bird, the pirate birds of the sky. He will grow up to be magnificent, but for now he just looks a bit silly. We met him, and many others of these goofy birds on Genovesa, bird island of the Galapagos.

The Galápagos sea lion is a species of sea lion that breeds in the Galápagos Islands and, to a lesser extent, in the Ilha da Prata. Being very social, they are often seen sunbathing on sandy beaches or clumps of rocks or gliding gracefully through the waves.

The Galápagos green turtle (Chelonia agassizii) is a species of turtle that used to be classified as a subspecies of the green sea turtle (Chelonia mydas) but was changed for a few reasons. One, caudal dimorphism (vertebrae of the same species changing), means that Chelonia agassizii (or "Chelonia agassizi" ) has a more domed shell. Another is the colour of the shell – Galápagos green turtles have a darker shell colour. It is endemic to the tropical and subtropical waters of the Pacific Ocean. The Galápagos sea lion (Zalophus wollebaeki) is a species of sea lion that exclusively breeds on the Galápagos Islands and – in smaller numbers – on Isla de la Plata (Ecuador). Being fairly social, and one of the most numerous species in the Galápagos archipelago, they are often spotted sun-bathing on sandy shores or rock groups or gliding gracefully through the surf. Their loud bark, playful nature, and graceful agility in water make them the "welcoming party" of the islands.
