Biblical scene, Wieliczka Salt Mine. Bas-relief carving in salt depicting the Wedding at Cana story from the Christian bible, where Jesus (left) turned water into wine. This carving, in the chapel of Saint Kinga, in the Wieliczka Salt Mine, was done in the period 1927-1963 by the miner and sculptor Antoni Wyrodek. The salt mine at Wieliczka, Poland, is one of the oldest in the world. It was started in the 13th century and is still in use in the 21st century. By the 19th century, vast underground caverns had been excavated to depths of several hundred metres, including statues sculpted out of the salt deposits. In 1978, the mine became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Phoenician alphabet (more specifically, an abjad) known in modern times from the Canaanite and Aramaic inscriptions found across the Mediterranean region. The name comes from the Phoenician civilization. Like Hebrew and Arabic, Phoenician was written from right to left, and vowels were omitted.

This Messerschmitt Me 109 G-4 showed up at the 16th oldtimer meeting in 2011 at the Hahnweide, near Kirchheim / Teck, Germany. The Hahnweide is actually a glider airfield with a grass runway - which fits very good to this plane. Canon EOS 60D in Sports mode, 1/500 s, f9, 154 mm, ISO 100.

The legendary Junkers JU-52 is one of the airplanes you could book for a round trip at the 16th Oldtimer Fliegertreffen 2011 at the Hahnweide, near Kirchheim/Teck, Germany.
