We all face darkness throughout our lives on the physical plane. Sometimes we need to search for it ourselves, and other times we find it together. No matter what we have to share it with the world to keep it going.

Louis Thomas Hardin, known as Moondog, was an American musician, composer, theoretician, poet and inventor of several musical instruments. He was blind from the age of 16. Hardin lived in New York City from the late 1940s until 1972, and during this time he could often be found on 6th Avenue, between 52nd and 55th Streets, wearing a cloak and a horned helmet sometimes busking or selling music, but often just standing silently on the sidewalk. He was recognized as "the Viking of 6th Avenue" by thousands of passersby and residents who were not aware of his musical career.

Chesterfield Square is a neighborhood full of charming if modest Crafstman homes -- one of which belonged to famed special effects man, Ray Harryhausen. It's also the birthplace of Good Fred Oil and home to Antique Stove Heaven. Unfortunately, Chesterfield Square also consistently has the highest violent crime rate in Los Angeles. In 1990, it was where the film, Boyz N the Hood was shot.
