Black Dynamite is a 2009 American blaxploitation spoof action/comedy film starring Michael Jai White, Salli Richardson, Arsenio Hall, Kevin Chapman and Tommy Davidson. It is a spoof of 1970s blaxploitation films. The film was directed by Scott Sanders and co-written by White, Sanders and Byron Minns, who also co-stars. The film, in which former CIA agent Black Dynamite must avenge his brother's death while cleaning the streets of a new drug that is ravaging the community, had a trailer and funding even before a script was written.

The 1970s were a tumultuous time. In some ways, the decade was a continuation of the 1960s. Women, African Americans, Native Americans, gays and lesbians and other marginalized people continued their fight for equality, and many Americans joined the protest against the ongoing war in Vietnam. In other ways, however, the decade was a repudiation of the 1960s. A “New Right” mobilized in defense of political conservatism and traditional family roles, and the behavior of President Richard Nixon undermined many people’s faith in the good intentions of the federal government. Sometimes it was groovy, it was always and trippy, and definitely psychadelic. This colorful rainbow design shows it!

The Goodies Design is inspired by the classic TV comedy featuring the trio of British comedians Bill Oddie, Graeme Garden and Tim Brooke-Taylor. Combining surreal sketches and situation comedy, The Goodies was a mainstay of the television schedules throughout the 70's and early 80's. The series revolved around the trio, always short of money, offering themselves for hire — with the tagline "We Do Anything, Anytime, Anywhere" — to perform all sorts of ridiculous but generally benevolent tasks. Under this loose pretext, the show explored all sorts of off-the-wall scenarios for comedic potential.

S&H Green Stamps was a line of trading stamps popular in the United States from the 1930s until the late 1980s. They were distributed as part of a rewards program operated by the Sperry & Hutchinson company (S&H), founded in 1896 by Thomas Sperry and Shelley Byron Hutchinson. During the 1960s, the company promoted its rewards catalog as being the largest publication in the United States and boasted that it issued three times as many stamps as the U.S. Postal Service.
