Sacred Geometry, Archangel Metatron. In sacred geometry, an archangel named Metatron oversees the flow of energy in a mystical cube known as Metatron's Cube, which contains all of the geometric shapes in God's creation and represents the patterns that make up everything God has made. These duties tie in with Metatron's work overseeing the Tree of Life in Kabbalah, where Metatron sends creative energy down from the top (the crown) of the tree toward all the parts of creation.

In Buddhist symbolism, the lotus represents purity of the body, speech and mind, as if floating above the murky waters of material attachment and physical desire. According to legend, Gautama Buddha's first steps made lotus flowers appear everywhere he stepped.

Kali is one of the goddesses in Hinduism and aspect of Durga. She is the goddess of creation, destruction, time and commonly presented as dark and violent. Various Shakta Hindu cosmologies, as well as Shakta Tantric beliefs, worship her as the ultimate reality or Brahman. Kali is represented as the consort of Lord Shiva, on whose body she is often seen standing. She is associated with many other Hindu goddesses like Durga, Bhadrakali, Sati, Rudrani, Parvati and Chamunda. She is the foremost among the Dasa Mahavidyas, ten fierce Tantric goddesses.

This organic mandala design fairly glows in neon-bright colors set off by black, rolling against a painted backdrop that resembles a galaxy drifting in space. Its petal-like shapes spiral like a whorl of leaves opening on a flower bud; the design is based on the plan of an artichoke - illustrating the fractal qualities of flowers, vegetables, and other organic structures. Based on a mixed-media art piece I created using acrylic paints, gel markers, and tissue-paper overlay on canvas board.

At the Battle of Milvan Bridge, this sign was said to have appeared to Constantine in the sky accompanied by the words "IN HOC SIGNO VINCES", meaning "BY THIS SIGN SHALT THOU CONQUER". Constantine's men painted the Chi-Rho (The monogram of Christ), on their shields and won the battle.
