Took some risks to get this shot,as a block of ice the size of a Yugo came off the cliff and crashed a few feet from me. The partially frozen Cascades in Giles County VA up close. A 69 foot waterfall which is impressive at any time of the year.

Mill Creek is a stream running in to the town of Narrows VA, Giles County VA. As it works it's way down the mountain above the town it forms numerous sizable falls.

NARROWS — Nearly 100 feet into the earth sits evidence of what could have been and almost was for this Giles County town. During the 1920s, the Giant Caverns began gaining popularity. Located approximately 90 feet below the base of what is today known as Sentinel Point, a growing interest in visiting the caverns presented a money-making opportunity for investors. Thousands of people visited the commercial cave during the 1920s and blueprints were drawn for a 100-room hotel near the caverns. Other commercial caverns, like Luray, had proven very profitable for investors. The hotel might have sparked an economic boom in Southwest Virginia if it had not been for the Great Depression. This waterfall is tucked away, and only visible while whipping by along Route 460 near Rich Creek VA, Giles County VA. It tends to be seasonal, and as can be seen can still push quite a bit of water which eventually finds its way in to the New River.
