Scilla Flowers In The Morning Hoodie

After the unseasonably cold spring, one 80 degree day was all it took to send flowers into bloom. Even the Scilla, which usually flower much earlier, kept their buds tightly wrapped until the warmer weather arrived. These are some of my favorite Spring flowers because of their blue color and airy stems which make them sway in the breeze are wonderful in the garden. Bulb forming perennial herbs, they are native to woodlands and meadows, and spread over the years to form a carpet of blue and green.
