Black rhino Hoodie

Colourful animal ink illustration portrait of a black rhinoceros. Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I created this drawing by hand using pigma micron marker pens, I completed the entire during using stippling, a dotting technique also known as pointillism, built up in layers to add contrast to the skin. Next I added colour to the drawing using alcohol markers. The black rhino (Diceros bicornis), is a critically endangered species of rhino found in parts of East and South Africa. These rhino have two horns and a hooked lip, this lip shape is the main feature that distinguishes them from the white rhino as they are very similar in appearance!
