Digital Art from my watercolor batik painting of a Viceroy Butterfly on Queen Anne's Lace, black and white and orange image. Several years ago, I painted this Viceroy butterfly from a reference photo (see below) as one of a series that I used in a calendar. Using Photoshop, I converted the color painting (elsewhere on my gallery) to a black and white image and allowed the butterfly to retain her brilliant, deep, orange reds. I found this photo on a reference photo site called pmp-art.com. The photographer is Jennifer Livick, and her beautiful photo can be seen here: https://pmp-art.com/jennifer-livick/gallery/27401/viceroy-img_1034a#gallery_img I centered the butterfly in my painting and added another QAL flower on the left.
