In Japanese folklore, Kitsune are foxes that possess paranormal abilities and can have up to nine tails. Some Kitsune can create kitsunebi, a magical fire that they use to light their way or deceive humans. In Norse mythology, the Northern Lights are said to be caused by fiery foxes that race across the sky so fast that their tails brush against the mountains and create sparks. In the saga of ice and fire, there is a legendary daughter of Garth Greenhandcalled Florys La Zorra, who was the most cunning of her children. According to the myth, she had three husbands, each unaware of the existence of the other two.
