*Monmouth Street, Lyme Regis, April 2021* Monmouth Street (Lyme Regis, Dorset, England) connects Coombe Street with Church Street in the Old Town district. It is believed that the Duke of Monmouth stayed here in 1685, and the street was subsequently named after him. At the end of Monmouth Street (though technically in Church Street) is the Norman Church of St Michael the Archangel. The current place of worship dates from around 1120 AD, but there is some evidence that an earlier Saxon church occupied the same site. Date: 25th April 2021.
