Rather than meeting deadlines, I wanted my artists to do their very best to create a work of art that would endure the passage of time. The stories are timeless, and with any luck, these stories would be my legacy. They had set up a target on a sandy beach that stood about fifty meters off. Everyone took a turn at it. Most everyone hit the target and two had found the bull's-eye.
