He comes only rarely to the feeding platform well away from the area where the younger orangutans come. He eats a few pieces of fruit and then disappears back into the jungle to continue his solitary life. Semenggoh Rehabilitation Center, Sarawak, East Malaysia, Borneo, South East Asia. Orangutans are highly endangered due to habitat destruction mainly due to the establishment of Palm Oil plantations. Colourful pen and ink animal illustration of a giraffe. The giraffe (Giraffa) is a tall African mammal, and the tallest living animal in the world, living in scattered regions across Africa. They are also one of the most popular animals and are distinguished by their extremely long necks and legs. They have horn like shapes protruding from the head, large ears, a white or cream body with dark orange brown or near black blotches, spots or patches covering most of the body.

Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and a brush pen for the darkest areas. The Grévy's zebra is the largest of the three species of zebra and is distinctive due to it's narrow stripes and large ears. They live in the semi-arid grasslands of Kenya and Ethiopia, Africa. They are an endangered species with estimated less than 3000 left in the wild.

This is Anya the amur leopard. Her species is native to Russia, China, and Korea. Anya is from Russia and is wearing a traditional headdress called a kokoshnik. Sadly, amur leopards are critically endangered.

A Koala sits in a gum tree, looking out into the light, looking for hope. I wanted to capture the beauty of a Koala and the hope for its species as all the world looks on and lends support for this adorable, endangered animal. We are blessed to have a few in our area and I am always looking for them hidden in the tall grey branches of the gums.
