Another of my nostalgic memorabilia art. This event took place in September 20, 1963 at the Monterey Jazz Festival, which brought this amazing jazz masters in an incredible 'quintet' to make magic that glorious night. This is the art poster that promote that event back then.

Children of the Corn (advertised as Stephen King's Children of the Corn) is a 1984 American supernatural folk horror film based upon Stephen King’s 1977 short story of the same name. Directed by Fritz Kiersch, the film's cast consists of Peter Horton, Linda Hamilton, John Franklin, Courtney Gains, Robby Kiger, Anne Marie McEvoy, Julie Maddalena, and R. G. Armstrong. Set in the fictitious rural town of Gatlin, Nebraska, the film tells the story of a malevolent entity referred to as "He Who Walks Behind the Rows" which entices the town's children to ritually murder all the town's adults, and a couple driving across the country, to ensure a successful corn harvest.

Psychology student Dani Ardor is traumatized after her sister Terri kills herself and their parents by filling their home with carbon monoxide. The incident strains Dani's relationship with her emotionally distant boyfriend, cultural anthropology student Christian Hughes. She later learns that Christian and his friends Mark and Josh have been invited by their mutual Swedish friend Pelle to attend a midsummer celebration at Pelle's ancestral commune, the Hårga, in Hälsingland. The celebration occurs only once every 90 years and Josh, also an anthropology student wants to write his thesis on it. Christian had hidden the trip from Dani, wanting to break up with her before leaving, but invites her along after she finds out about it.

Padma (the sacred lotus) is an aquatic plant that plays a central role in Indian religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, and Jainism. The lotus flower has many different names such as the "Indian Lotus", the "Sacred Lotus", and the "Bean of India". The lotus flower is one of the Ashtamangala of Buddhism, representative of creation and cosmic renewal and "primordial purity" and shares in the chakra and mandala symbolism of the Dharmacakra. In Buddhist symbolism the lotus is symbolic of purity of the body, speech, and mind as while rooted in the mud, its flowers blossom on long stalks as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. It is also symbolic of detachment as drops of water easily slide off its petals.

The US Festival (US pronounced like the pronoun, not as initials) was the name of two early ’80s music festivals held in San Bernardino, California. Created by Steve Wozniak, who believed that the ’70s were the “me” generation, he intended the US Festivals to encourage the ’80s to be more community-oriented and combine technology with music. The first event was held over Labor Day weekend in September ’82, and the second was less than nine months later, over Memorial Day weekend in May ’83. The ’82 event had a mix of bands slotted over the three-day event, but ’83 added themed days. While the US Festival events were hugely popular with concert-goers, both events managed to lose $12 million, making them commercial failures.
