Katana with sharp blade and rose flowers for Inktober

I was inspired to do this when I heard about Inktober. I did several ink doodles, but this one is my favourite , and thinking maybe it will go into my colouring book which I am planning to put together. This was done on A4 size paper with a Sharpie fine liner. I may colour this in with watercolour.

A gang of raccoons digs through the neighborhood trash. I drew this for Inktober 2020's prompt, "Dig," and was struck by the intense need to draw some raccoon butts hanging out of trash cans. :)

Inktober inspired design

Stephen Decatur lived a wild life serving his young country in the fledgling US Navy. He took on a daring role in the burning of the USS Philadelphia during the first Barbary War and was the last to leave the burning ship, heroically leaping in to the rigging of the USS Intrepid. During this same war, he boarded an enemy ship, fought hand to hand combat with the dishonorable enemy captain, was almost killed by a scimitar to the head when one of his men jumped in front and took the blow (and recovered!), and eventually won the fight. American Hero.

Dreams can be anything - from a very scary experience to the most exciting adventure. Children's dreams... Well, this is another topic entirely. Like this design - a happy kid on a cat spreading love through space and time. Logical, no?Drawing made during Inktober 2023 challenge
