The Nikon FM10 is a manual focus 35 mm film camera sold by Nikon Corporation. It is of SLR design and was first available in 1995. It is normally sold in a kit that includes a Zoom Nikkor 35–70 mm f/3.5-4.8 zoom lens, although a Zoom Nikkor 70–210 mm f/4.5-5.6 zoom lens is also available. An electronic companion model known as the FE10 was also sold at one stage.

I miss the days of the 35mm film camera. I loved the excitement of finally seeing my finished photos printed out after snapping a roll of 24 shots. I drew a camera that belonged to my grandpa in my sketchbook, then I turned it into artwork for t-shirts. Old school nostalgia for sure!

I found this beach while driving through Lødingen in the Vesterålen Islands. In Northern Norway. In the Arctic Circle. How is this not a tropical paradise? Actually, I think the answer may be in the temperature of the water. Brr!

Wow. What else can I say to describe what it was like to be in Reine on this winter morning? After a few mornings of cloud, it finally cleared and we were treated to two continuous hours of sunset, with beautiful oranges and yellows to the south and pinks to the north. Just stunning. This shot was taken at the Japanese garden in the Huntington Library in California. This is a RAW image that i processed in CS5 and used nik effex to enhance some color.

We got very excited on the last night of our recent trip to Lofoten because it looked like everything was coming together. The sky was clear, the northern horizon was starting to glow green...and then this happened. Luckily we got a few beams before the clouds completely covered them up again!

After I picked up my friend at Keflavik airport, we made a beeline for the closest landmark I knew -- the Gardur Lighthouse -- to try to watch the northern lights we could already see from the parking lot with less light pollution. Ok, there may be more than just one tree on top of One Tree Hill on Hamilton Island, but this one seemed to be a pretty good candidate since it was all on its own. What a perfect place this was for star watching -- there was hardly any light pollution despite us being on a resort island!

This was my view from inside my glass igloo at Hotel Kakslauttanen in Finnish Lapland. My stay there was a highlight on my itinerary and it absolutely did not disappoint. How could it when I could lie in bed taking photos of the northern lights when it was -38C outside?!
