Arakyd Industries, also known simply as Arakyd, was an arms and droid manufacturer that notably produced dwarf probe droids, ID9 seeker droids, internal systems probe droids, Viper probe droids, and Viper recon droids. It also produced RA-7 protocol droids specially for the Galactic Empire and created KX-series security droids to provide Imperial facilities with more efficient security, as well as ST2 concussion missiles and tubes for starships. Arakyd Industries manufactured droids on Vulpter, a planet located in the galaxy's Deep Core where it also had a data storehouse.

Hijacked Pioneer Plaque. The Pioneer plaques are plaques which were placed on board the Pioneer 10 and Pioneer 11 spacecraft, featuring a pictorial message, in case either Pioneer 10 or 11 is intercepted by extraterrestrial life. But which message would you like to send to extraterrestrial life. Funny message or not.

Mount Sharp, on Mars, obtained by NASA's Curiosity rover. This image has been adjusted to look approximately as it would on Earth to aid geologists in interpreting rock type. About 3 kilometres in front of the rover is a ridge containing lots of the iron oxide haematite. Beyond that is a plain rich in clay minerals, and beyond that hills rich in sulphate minerals. The changing minerals suggest changing environments on early Mars, but suggests that all involved exposure to water. Curiosity, part of the Mars Science Laboratory (MSL) mission, landed in Gale Crater on 6 August 2012. Image obtained by Curiosity's Mastcam camera on 9 September 2015.

Cosmic microwave background. Whole sky image of the cosmic microwave background made by the MAP (Microwave Anisotropy Probe) spacecraft. This map indicates that the age of the universe is around 13.7 billion years. The data also reveal that the universe is expanding at 71 kilometres per second per megaparsec (1 Mpc = 3262 light years). The colours reveal variations in the temperature of the universe in all directions. This correlates to the density of material at the time when the universe became transparent to radiation, about 380,000 years after its creation. The denser regions (red, yellow) formed the seeds of galaxies and other structures. Data obtained in 2003.

Voyager 1 is a space probe launched by NASA on September 5, 1977. Having operated for 40 years, 1 month and 18 days as of October 23, 2017, the spacecraft still communicates with the Deep Space Network to receive routine commands and return data.
