I love the couture house Schiaparelli and her legacy of innovation and absurdity. She worked with Dali, was the first to create a dress with rib cages and spinal cord showing in the 40s. An homage.

This work reminds me of the classic pose sisters (whether blood or friend), often fold into when being photographed. Its so universal and its familiarity is heartwarming to me.

I made this as a means of getting intense and angry feelings out, about the multiple genocides happening in the world right now, the intense gaslighting that things are fine and justifiable and the push to just consume as usual. Please don't.

I don't know why but I've always found myself drawn to repeatedly sketching or painting Picasso's Maya with Doll, of his daughter clutching a doll... I started when I was maybe 10, and randomly would keep it up. I like the evolution in these and how madly different a sketch of the same thing can be day in and day out based on your mood, how you feel, how much time you have, etc.

This very bright and colorful design celebrates the classic British rock song 'Itchycoo Park' by Small Faces.

I made this work, titled 'The Rot Beneath the Gown,' as a representation of the costs involved in consumerism, fashion and consumption - the human costs, slave labour, historical exploitation, imperialism and death that persists to this day to feed the colonial need for hoarding resources, beauty and clothing to express class.

I made this just because I thought the composition ended up looking really cool and it makes me feel light and happy.

This was one of my first collages I ever made. I still quite love them.

This is a beautiful portrait of an Indian bride in her traditional finery; however it's disturbing what the ideal really is and what is wanted from us: beauty but locked away, only seeing never speaking. Just a 2D version of a woman: all her wild, unwieldly parts locked away and always beautiful and blooming.
