Rain clouds threaten the beautiful Hever Castle in England, former childhood home of Anne Boleyn wife of Henry VIII

This block print design is based on the famous paleolithic cave art from the Lascaux Caves. The animal depicted here is an aurochs, a type of now extinct wild cattle. To create this I first hand-carved, then printed, my own block carving of this design then scanned the print.

This is one of the many treasures seen at the Louvres. This is also one of several statues of headless women on display. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software.
