Gondolas 8-11 is a black and white photographic art print of gondolas on a ferris wheel. The ferris wheel is the Seattle Great Wheel which opened in June of 2012 and is located at the very end of one of the many piers that dot the Seattle waterfront in the downtown area. The wheel has 42 fully enclosed gondolas with a special VIP gondola sporting leather bucket seats and a glass bottom floor. Le Louvre des Antiquaires is a historic structure in Paris located on the Place du Palais-Royal. The building was originally constructed in 1855 as a hotel, the Grand Hôtel du Louvre. The enormous building was gradually converted to a department store, with the hotel finally closing in 1887. The department store, Grands Magasins du Louvre, operated until 1974. The building was then converted to an antiques mall, Le Louvre des Antiquaires. That business closed in 2015, and the building is currently being converted to a luxury shopping mall, set to open in 2020. After the Christchurch Earthquakes, so many buildings were demolished, but for some reason, this one was only partly reduced to its columns and beams. After its underground car park becoming flooded it becoming a nesting ground for rare Black-billed gulls.

The Monument to the Restorers is a monument located in Restauradores Square in Lisbon on the other side of Rossio Square. The square is dedicated to the restoration of the independence of Portugal in 1640 after 60 years of Spanish domination. The monument itself memorializes the victory of the Portuguese Restoration War, which saw the end of the House of Habsburg and the rise of the House of Braganza, The war lasted from 1640 to 1668. The obelisk seen in this image sits in the middle of the square and carries the names and dates of the battles fought during the war. The Praça do Comércio (Commerce Square) is located in the city of Lisbon near the Tagus river. The square is still commonly known as the Palace Yard because it was the location of the Royal Ribeira Palace until it was destroyed by the great 1755 Lisbon earthquake. After the earthquake, the square was completely remodeled as part of the rebuilding of the Pombaline downtown, ordered by the 1st Marquis of Pombal, who was the Minister of the Kingdom of Portugal from 1750 to 1777, during the reign of Dom José I, King of Portugal. The square is the most magnificent plaza in Lisbon, and one of the highlights of the city. This is an image of the Louvre taken from the roundabout across the street. The attempt was to create a smooth light trail though a very long exposure. After trying to do so over the span of almost 2 hours (and numerous attempts), I still ended up with these chaotic trails. The Louvre, originally a royal palace but now the world's most famous museum, is a must-visit for anyone with a slight interest in art. The collection of the Louvre Museum was first established in the sixteenth century as the private collection of King Francis I. The Victorian pier of Penarth in Wales, UK, treated in sepia. The pier was opened in 1898 and was a popular attraction to seaside-goers at the time, who also enjoyed trips on pleasure steamers that operated from the pier. It has on several occasions been damaged by vessels colliding with the structure and in 1931, a fire broke out in one of the pavilions. This wooden pavilion was never replaced, but a concrete pavilion has been used over the years as a concert hall, ballroom, cinema and for other purposes. This image was taken facing the entrance/exit of the courtyard of the Ming Tombs. A bit of history about these tombs was given in the previous image titled "Welcome To The Ming Tombs". At present, only three tombs are open to the public. The Ming Tombs were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in August 2003. The Ming tombs are a collection of mausoleums built by the Chinese Ming dynasty emperors. The majority of the Ming tombs are located in a cluster near Beijing and collectively known as the Thirteen Tombs of the Ming Dynasty. However, the first Ming emperor's tomb is located near the City of Nanjing. This site is located on the southern slopes of Tianshou Mountain, and was chosen based on the principles of Feng Shui by the third Ming dynasty emperor. After the construction of the Imperial Palace (known today as the Forbidden City) in 1420, the Yongle Emperor selected his burial site and created his own mausoleum. Canon Rebel T3i. Mount Lebanon Chapel and Cemetery, also known as Lebanon Chapel, is a historic Episcopal chapel and cemetery located on SR 1411 in Wrightsville Beach, New Hanover County, North Carolina. The chapel was completed in 1835. The land was part of a 320-acre tract known as "Mount Lebanon", named for the surrounding cedar trees that recalled the Biblical "Cedars of Lebanon". The chapel is a one-story, three bay by three bay, gable-roofed, rectangular building in a vernacular Greco-Gothic. It measures 26 feet wide and 37 feet deep, and is sheathed in weatherboard. It was restored in 1974. The cemetery contains 91 burials dating from 1815 to 1964. It is the oldest known surviving church in New Hanover County. It was listed on th...
