As we drove north along the west coast towards Hokitika and Arthur's Pass, we passed a sign for the Lake Mapourika camping area. I decided to quickly pull in and see what the lake was like. Boy was I glad I did that, since the water was completely still with an absolutely perfect reflection, with only the occasional ripple breaking the unending calm.

Some differences between this and the United States Boeing machine - This has folding rotors so you can fold it away and push it in to the back of a C-17 and ship it anywhere in the world. Rolls Royce powered, giving 25% more power than the US General Electric engine. Currently restricted by the transmission system ... but the Brits are working on it.

We couldn't have asked for a better morning on our last day in New Zealand. We were lucky enough to have two sunny days out of three on the West Coast, so we got to fully enjoy the view of the mountains around the Waiho Valley and Franz Josef from in front of our "Glacier Cottage."
