Constructed in 1931 the Horse Palace on the grounds of Exhibition Place in Toronto Canada is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the city. Built to support the equestrian events of the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, the building has 1,200 stalls for horses and other live stock and a main practice and exhibition ring under a cathedral style glass ceiling. The building was recently renovated and now serves as the administrative wing of a neighbouring health care facility. More than 33,000 books were destroyed in the college library but within two years, the library was replenished through donations. Constructed as a movie theatre in 1919, The Danforth Music Hall is a music venue and event theatre at 147 Danforth Ave in Toronto Canada. After many name and owner changes over the years, the building was designated a City Of Toronto Heritage Property in 1985. On a personal note, one of the best shows I ever saw (even after all this time) was The Clash in 1979 when the building was called The Rex Danforth Theatre. The Gooderham Flatiron Building at No 49 Wellington Street East in Toronto Ontario was built by George Gooderham in 1891. The four and a half storey red brick building was constructed at a cost of $18,000 and predates New York’s more famous Flatiron building by 10 years. It was declared a historic site under the Ontario Heritage Act in 1975. Looking west on Front St towards the downtown core. Toronto Fire Station No 227 at 1904 Queen Street East in Toronto Canada was built in 1905 as TFD 17. Station 227, also known as The Kew Beach Fire Hall, originally had a single vehicle bay. In 1960 an addition was built on the west side of the original building. The route to nowhere is a hand drawn illustration digitised to vector format depicting a bricked road passing through the edge of a forest where small creatures live. The road leads to a very curved bridge which is difficult to climb and which leads to nowhere. Beyond in the horizon are hills and a city. The river passing under the bridge has many sea creatures floating in it. The illustration is based on a fair tale type of scenario. A fantasy world which can be used for both children and adult. The illustration has a parallel to the wizard of oz story where the brick road leads to emerald city. Howver, in this illustration the yellow brick road has no colour and leads no where, passing through a dream-like world of little creatures.

After 3 years of planning and 10 years of construction, Toronto's third city hall was completed in 1899 and became home to the city council until 1966. The elaborate entrance to the British Colonial Building at No 49 Yonge St in Toronto Canada. The first branch of The Bank of British North America in Toronto was built in 1845 at the northeast corner of Yonge and Wellington Sts. The current building, designed by architect Henry Langley, replaced the original in 1875. The main entrance to the building was initially on Wellington Street, but in the early 1900's as Yonge Street emerged as the city’s main thoroughfare, the doorway was relocated to it's present location in 1903. The Allan Gardens Conservatory Palm House at 19 Horticultural Ave in Toronto Canada. The conservatory was built in 1879. In 1902, a fire destroyed the Horticultural Pavilion and parts of the conservatory. It's replacement, the cast iron and glass domed Palm House opened in 1910 and stands on the site today. The site remained the property of Birkbeck and its successor, the Canadian Mortgage and Investment Company, until 1927 when it was sold to the Standard Bank. Ownership of the structure was passed to several corporations and individuals before the Ontario Heritage Trust purchased it in 1985.
