The story behind this shows a half automaton and half-human figure being sustained by a boom box and cell phone. Her heart is suspended by a wire outside of her body with gears turning in the gaping hole in her chest. Electricity is running through the electric wires which are the only things giving her life which is a give away to her vacant expression. When the only thing that sustains us spiritually, physically, and emotionally, does not possess emotions or a heart of its own, what is left but a vacant shell? We are no longer human, but just as mechanical as the devices we possess and obsess over...our idols... leaving God out of the picture. What is your perspective of this piece?
