I kept laughing whilst I was painting this little guy, as he was looking so 'droll' as we say in Scotland. He looks like he has a Glasgow accent too, so that was making me heehee even more. So here's Wee Shug The Scottish Pug, and he's feeling 'fair puggled'. Shug is Scottish for a young lad, and also used as a pet name for guys called Hugh or Hughie. The name Hugh incidentally was brought to Scotland from Germany and means 'hug; - so you see Shug the Pug really does mean Hug the Pug!
