So what is this? These are the 'sails' that adorn Vancouver's Canada Place, which is the cruise ship docking terminal and a generally wonderful place to explore. The structures on its roof are lookalikes for the sails of a sailing boat, ship, dingy, etc. They are an expression of of the ocean that lies on Vancouver's doorstep. In this image, I love the deepness of the dark blue sky in contrast with the almost perfect whiteness of the sails. I hope you do too!

As the sunset, the waves crashes on the beach.

This image, captured n the beach of Sandbanks Provincial Park in Ontario is of a snow fence set up on the beach. Of course, it hadn't yet snowed, but I was intrigued by the shadows cast on the sand.
