Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet, which debuted in February 2005, is a remake of the original and classic 1967 Supermarionation series, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, created by Gerry and Sylvia Anderson. It was a huge success and lead to films, DVD’s, toys, t-shirts and lots more. In the year 2068, peace on Earth is maintained by the Spectrum Organization, headquartered in the vast floating aircraft carrier Skybase, which hovers on the edge of Earth's atmosphere. Captain Scarlet is the main character and he has to battle the Alien nemeses from Mars, namely The Mysterons. I made this design to give credit to this brilliant CGI animation series, which is still one of my top three animations of all time.

Expect the Unexpected

Rediscovering those crazy Thunderbirds and discovering that that series didn’t last as long as I would have liked, I quickly researched if there were any more of Gerry and Sylvia Andersons work. Thankfully i have Tubi and Tubi has Some of the best underated and lost stuff tv and movies have given us. Unfortunately Stingray is subpar at best. It does have some amazing set work and props (not that that was ever in question) the first three episodes the main guy gets kidnapped! Nuff said. Its cool but very dated. Marina and the baddies. She’s a mute from the ocean, and they all some kind of jealous fish.
